What to expect in India

Your Photographic Experience

Central India’s Bandhavgarh and Kanha National Parks are iconic wildlife sanctuaries with rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes but famed for their tiger-viewing opportunities. They offer the quintessential experience of India’s wildlife and wilderness, and your best chances to see and photograph tigers.  Bandhavgarh National Park, set in the picturesque landscape of Madhya Pradesh, is a wildlife haven renowned for its thriving tiger population and stunning scenery. Once a royal hunting ground, the park features dense forests, open meadows, and the ancient Bandhavgarh Fort, which offers panoramic views. Bandhavgarh is famous for its thriving tiger population, making it one of the best places in India to spot these majestic big cats in their natural habitat. The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including leopards, sloth bears, and various deer species. Birdwatchers will delight in the rich avifauna, with over 250 species to observe. Kanha National Park, renowned for its spectacular Sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands, and meandering streams, offers a unique setting for wildlife photography. Home to the rare Hard Ground Barasingha and a significant population of tigers, Kanha provides photographers with abundant opportunities to capture stunning images of both predator and prey in their natural habitat. Each park offers daily jeep safaris, giving you the chance to capture early morning and late afternoon light.

“There’s something about India’s jungles that stirs emotions deep within. Familiar characters call this place home; however, nothing can prepare you to see the elusive tiger. An experience that stays with you forever.”

Sam Turley

Seeing my first tiger in the wild is an experience I’ve always struggled to put into words. With vibrant shades of orange and black, it glides through the forest with unmatched elegance and power. You simply have to see it for yourself.
