Wildlife Photography As we venture through the Scottish Highlands, you’ll have the chance to photograph some of the UK’s most iconic wildlife. The red deer rut is a spectacular event to witness and photograph, as stags compete for dominance in dramatic displays. Other highlights include red squirrels, crested tits, and mountain hares, with the potential to encounter elusive ptarmigan in the higher reaches of the Cairngorms. Landscape and Astrophotography In addition to wildlife, Scotland’s landscapes offer stunning vistas that make for awe-inspiring photographs. You’ll also have the opportunity to capture the night sky, with optional astrophotography sessions. Scotland’s dark skies provide a perfect canvas for photographing the night sky. Conservation and Fieldcraft Beyond photography, the workshop will focus on fieldcraft and conservation. Learn to track animal signs, understand wildlife behavior, and explore the science behind conservation efforts that protect these remarkable species.
