WHAT TO EXPECT ON THIS PHOTO SAFARI

Your Photographic Experience

This Kenya Wildlife Photography Tour is designed to give you more than remarkable sightings; it is about learning how to capture them with skill, creativity, and intent. Each day is carefully structured to balance time in the field with expert guidance, ensuring that you return home with both a diverse portfolio and stronger technical and artistic abilities. Daily game drives take place in the early morning and late afternoon, when the savannah is alive with movement and the light is at its most dramatic. These sessions place you in the best conditions to photograph elephants, big cats, rhinos, and birdlife across Amboseli, the Maasai Mara, and Lake Nakuru. Rather than simply documenting animals, you will be encouraged to interpret behaviour, light, and environment to create images that convey mood and narrative. Instruction throughout the tour focuses on practical skills such as composition in fast‑moving situations, working with natural light at sunrise and sunset, and making creative decisions in dynamic field conditions. With a maximum ratio of six participants per leader, you will receive personalised support tailored to your level and equipment, whether you shoot with DSLR, mirrorless, or mobile gear. Evenings are dedicated to camaraderie and growth. After the drives, you will share images, exchange ideas, and participate in constructive review sessions that foster a collaborative environment where participants learn from one another. By the end of the journey, you will not only have a portfolio that reflects the drama and beauty of Kenya’s ecosystems, but also the confidence to approach wildlife photography with a sharper eye for timing, composition, and storytelling.

What our guests say

The wild was truly alive.
From head-on encounters and full hunts unfolding before us to leopards in trees, cubs at sunrise, and lions owning the plains — Maasai Mara gave us moments we’ll never forget.
Even in the low season, we witnessed the Big Five and a full river crossing during the Great Migration — absolutely surreal.

Grateful to have shared this adventure with an amazing photography retreat group and our incredible guides who made every golden hour unforgettable.
